Tasting notes
The bright ruby red color introduces a bouquet luminous in breadth and depth, with hints of violets and iris intersecting with those of small red and black berries, notes of herbs and sweet spices. On the palate it is powerful and light, with freshness and savoriness, the texture enjoys the wonderful encounter between the very fine grain of the tannins and the enveloping materiality of the extracts, all dominated by a woodland matrix finish, with sensations of bramble fruit, bark, resin, herbs and underbrush intersecting in a chromatic and aromatic interplay.
Pairings
Because of its concentration and depth, this is a wine with a natural disposition for pairing with food, especially with richly flavored soups, pasta dishes with game sauces, and meat recipes that are slow-cooked or include spices and herbs. Excellent with more mature cheeses.
